Cosmin Valeriu CociÈ™ studied sculpture at the University of Art and Design in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. However, his art has since intersected multiple experimental techniques and media. Nowadays, he lives in France and works as a freelance artist, dedicating his time to the artistic creation and research.
His artistic approach, represented by a heterogeneous collection of experiments and performances, is a meditation on the perpetual re-invention, on what is constantly changing and on what stays unchanged during that process.
I think the reason why we create and re-create things, reset notions and ideas or make art is that we don't agree with the way things are or with the way we see them. We believe that there is always something better, or more, or more beautiful or truer… We believe in the sublime. This is the beginning of our quest, of our attempt to describe and understand our own continuous dissatisfaction, the force that drives us to keep searching - an attempt to identify the ultimate archetype of our trajectory in time and space.
